The American IPA: Clear to Hazy and Back Again
Just about everyone is used to their IPAs being translucent to opaque with the current trend of “hazy” or “New England-style” IPAs, but this wasn’t always the case. From the style that pushed the craft beer boom we’ll examine 4 different versions of the IPA, from the malt rich balance of bitterness and grain of the early IPA, to the juicy haziness of the New England IPA, back to the current clear more modern west coast IPA.
This hour long class will showcase beer selections from breweries such as Goose Island, Other Half, Firestone Walker and Zero Gravity.
